Roberto RITTNER is a Full Professor at the Institute of Chemistry, University of Campinas, Campinas, SP, Brazil, since 1990. He received his PhD in chemistry from University of São Paulo in 1972, under the supervision of Prof. Blanka Wladislaw. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at University of East Anglia (1973-1975) and as a visiting professor at The University of Liverpool (1993-1994). He was elected member of São Paulo Science Academy (1990), of Brazilian Science Academy (2006), Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (1995) and admitted in the "Ordem Nacional do Mérito Científico” as “Comendador” (2008) by the brazilian president. He has published 250 peer-review papers, 3 book chapters and 330 communications in national and international meetings. He supervised almost 50 graduate students (MSc and PhD).
